Concept #5 Environment concept

A setting/environment I'd like to explore takes place in woods. This was loosely scratched on scratch board. At this point it is still a very loose idea, but I'd like incorporate mausoleums and grotesque statues.

Concept #4 "The Nefarious Butler"

Years and years of service have taken their toll on poor Desmond and have driven him quite mad. He's grown sick of his employer and the horrible way he's treated him that Desmond finally knows how to repay him.

Concept #3 "Goblin Stew"

I'm currently enrolled in Art 355 and our semester long project is to create a character we'd like to model, along with an environment and prop. The first thing that popped into my head were goblin-esque creatures.

This concept follows two, rival goblin chefs who try to outdo each other and create the tastier stew. Seeing as how I've watched Gremlins far too many times to count, the bottom goblin looks exactly like them, so that design needs to be rethought.

Concept #2 Zappos

The first sketch is a continuation of the second one. The bottom sketch is from last semester in my illustration class. The idea was to draw an illustration to go along with a magazine article. The article had to do with whether or not shoes actually support the structures of our feet. It even pushed the idea that shoes were somewhat bad for our arches and emphasized being barefoot more often. The main idea I took away from the article was that shoes = bad, so I thought....evil shoes...or more like a gang of shoes.

Concept #1 "Vegetarians not Welcome"

Manny the butcher (character sketches in progress...) leads a very bland life. His butcher shop is all he knows and he holds it dear. He prides himself in owning the number one butcher shop that meets all of your meat-lovers needs. It isn't until one day, when a lowly street urchin stumbles upon Manny's shop and discovers what Manny really keeps behind the counters of his butcher shop.
